Dia De Reyes Blog Hop

Good morning crafty friends,

Welcome to the Dia De Reyes Blog Hop. If you have come here from the wonderfully gifted Martha G. then you are heading along in the right direction! This is Gaby’s second year hosting this marvelous hop. It is a super special day for her as it is also her beloved daughter’s birthday. So we want to wish Gaby and her daughter another year of health, love, peace and joy!

Now on to my project.

I created this layout to focus on the gifts the three kings brought as opposed to the three kings themselves. I thought about how we are spirit, soul and flesh beings and it would only be fitting to offer up all three parts of our lives to the Lord. I also wrote the “poem” that I have on the layout. Here is what it says....

The prophets foretold of the glorious day,
when Yeshua the Savior would come our way.

The shepherds and Kings saw the wondrous star,
so they journeyed from lands near and far.

So many thousands of years ago,
you came to pay a debt you didn’t owe.

My heart rejoices with gladness today,
knowing your love is with me to stay.

Like those before who brought you treasure,
may I live a life to bring you pleasure.

My heart is yours to serve and live,
my savior’s love to the world I will give.

Through your amazing grace will strength I find,
to stand for you through all of time.

This day does not take you by surprise,
you know this world, you saw its demise.

You made a way to bring us salvation;
redemption, hope, this is the mission.

Thank you Yeshua, the everlasting King,
to you alone, be glory in everything.
