October Challenge

Happy October crafty friends,
Whew, can you believe it is October 1st already! That is so hard for me to believe. This summer….actually this year has just been a blur. Well the first of the month is always fun, it is the start of a new month, a new month filled with lots of fun crafting and a new monthly challenge!  This month, like every month is an anything goes challenge! We have just a few small requirements, like you can create anything your heart desires as long as you use a PaperCraftingWorld.com file in some way. We also include an optional twist….that’s right optional. so here is this month’s Optional Twist

That’s right, our optional twist is to use a pumpkin or leaves in your project.  So here is what I came up with today.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is a look at my card. The finished size is 5 x 6.5. I used a cream cardstock base. I then used several pattern papers all from the DCWV Halloween Basics Stack. It is one of the very few DCWV stacks that I have that is another size besides the 12x12. I cut several different mats and adhered them to the base.

I then turned to the super cute Bear in Patch v13 Digital stamp-printable set. I used the finished image. These sets come with three different versions and in both .png and .jpg formats. Perfect for those that want to color, those with the Print N’ Cut feature of their machines. I almost feel like I cheated because all I had to do was size it and print it out…That’s it!

I then add the little scalloped circle and button with some twine for little extra decoration. I used some foam tape underneath to give it a little lift.

Then for one final touch, I added some gold sequins to the top. That’s it. Pretty easy!

Here's a card I did previously using the same Bear in Patch v13 Dsb file set, except this time I chose to use the uncolored digi and used my Copic markers to color the image. So much versatility from one file set

  7. Hey, where did everybody go? Only me and one other person participated? That's a shame as it was such a fun challenge. Are you still going to pick a winner or push it to next month? Well, I enjoyed submitting to you anyway...thanks for the opportunity to showcase my card. Sorry everyone else missed out!
